Agricultural Policy Forum 2015 “Modern Rural Policy: Competitiveness, investment and well-being in rural regions of South East Europe”, 14 – 15 October, Pravetz, Bulgaria

The 15th Agricultural Policy Forum (APF) 2015: “Modern Rural Policy: Competitiveness, investment and well-being in rural regions of South East Europe” was held in Pravetz, Bulgaria in the period of 14th – 15th October 2015.

The Agricultural Policy Forum 2015 once more served as a platform for international dialogue on policy settings and perspectives of common interest to agricultural policy makers and stakeholders. The APF 2015 addressed implementation of the EU agricultural and rural development policies for the period 2014-2020 and the reflection towards the countries of SEE. The Forum focused on innovation and sustainable growth, regional networking of private companies at regional/international markets and area based development.

During the Forum many side events took place and also three working groups discussed on the following topics:

WG 1 Integrated economic development in rural cross-border areas;
WG 2 Rural development via Natural resource management;
WG 3 Analysis of agriculture and rural development policies in Western Balkans.

The APF 2015 is organized on behalf of the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in SEE in close cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Republic of Bulgaria.

Feld visit was also organized for the participants to Troyan – Apriltsi LAG and several LEADER funded projects
