Matej Bedrač, M.Sc., is a researcher at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, Agricultural Economics Department, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. His research interests and work experiences are in the area of agricultural policy and rural development;
He has participated in a number of national and international research projects. Most of his work experiences are related to monitoring and evaluation of rural development policy, farm structure surveys and evaluation of sustainability of agriculture. His recent projects are following:

▪ Preparation of guidelines for the implementation of Axis 4 (LEADER) in the programming period 2007-2013
▪ Recommendations for preparation of local development strategies in the context of Communnity Led Local Development (CLLD) in the programming period 2014-2020
▪ EU 6th Framework Programme Agro economic policy analysis of the New member states, the Candidate states and the countries of the Western Balkan (CEEC Agri-Policy)
He is a member of Slovenian Association of Agricultural Economists (SAAE), European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) and The Slovenian Rural Development Network.
