Maja Kožar, PhD, is a researcher at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, Agricultural Economics Department, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her research interests and work experiences are in the area of agricultural economics and policy; specifically farm management (total income), economic modelling (impact assessments) and monitoring of agricultural sector, and FADN data (standard results for Slovenia, quality assessment etc.).
She has participated in a number of national and international research projects in the field of agricultural economics and policy; from the international projects recently in AGRICISTRADE (“Exploring the potential for agricultural and biomass trade in the Commonwealth of Independent States”; EU 7th FP project), EUEWB (“National policy instruments and EU approximation process: effects on farm holdings in the Western Balkan Countries”) and FAO-API (“Agricultural policy indicators for selected countries of the former Soviet Union”, on-going). She is a member of Slovenian Association of Agricultural Economists (SAAE), European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) and national FADN Commission (Committee for monitoring and implementation of farm accountancy; since 2011). She was also a member of EIP-AGRI Focus Group (“Benchmarking of farm productivity and sustainability performance”; 2015-2016).
